The Professional Administrative Assistant Program is a certificate program specially designed to prepare students for a career as an administrative assistant. In this program, students will develop skills to perform the tasks needed in today’s business office, to communicate effectively, to use business applications software, to manipulate and integrate information, and to solve information management problems. This program provides hands-on experience on the latest software found in the most modern of office settings.

Because basic administrative skills will continue to be vital in today’s business offices, students will develop skills in business English for use in writing business correspondence; learn hands on computer application skills, and office practices.

Medical Office Administration Program
The Medical Office Administration Program is a certificate program specially designed to prepare students for a career as a medical office administrative assistant. In this program, students will develop skills to perform the tasks needed in today’s medical office, to communicate effectively, to use medical applications software. This program provides hands-on experience on the latest software found in modern of office settings.

The Medical Office Administration Program will prepare students for essential business and professional skills. Students will learn the components of human anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, insurance billing and coding including ICD/CPT standards, computerized scheduling and billing, and the concepts of working in a medical office setting. This program provides entry into the medical environment.

The QuickBooks program is designed to teach the student QuickBooks and how you can get around in QuickBooks using forms, lists, and registers. Students will be able to find information to help get started using QuickBooks. Student will learn to manage an open window, compare windows side by side, and use the Customer, Vendor, and Employee Centers. Students will learn how to create a Chart of Accounts, learn accounting principles such as Assets, Liabilities, and Equity, Cash versus Accrual Bookkeeping, Measuring Business Profitability, and learn General Journal Transactions.
